Arrive in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city, where a Beyond Native Africa Safaris representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. The day is spent at leisure.

After breakfast, the tour departs for Mikumi National Park, with lunch en-route in Morogoro. Mikumi’s acacia-dotted savannah is often compared to the Serengeti, and its tree-climbing lions are a local legend. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Depart for Ruaha National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Spend the next three days exploring this immense and remote park. Rewarding 4WD game drives will take you through diverse habitats along the Great Ruaha River, the focus for game-viewing and one of the largest national parks in Tanzania.

The tour departs for the Udzungwa Mountain National Park, the most diverse forest-swathed mountain in eastern Tanzania. Visitors will visit the Isimilia Historical site and, on Day 7, enjoy a moderate guided trek to the summit of the Sanje Waterfalls, where the vista is simply astonishing.

After breakfast, the tour departs for the vast Selous Game Reserve. The Rufiji River attracts the greatest density of game in this wild landscape. You’ll spend three days on game drives and other activities, exploring the sweeping grasslands, extensive wetlands, and miombo woodlands.

Depart after breakfast for Dar es Salaam, arriving for lunch. Afterwards, the group will be transferred to a city hotel or the airport for outbound departure
